Meet the Principal
Hello Bridge Transition Program Families!
My name is Judy Jordan and have the honor of being the Principal of the Bridge Transition Program over the past 13 years. I am proud to have watched the program enrollment triple and grow from 3 classes to 12 classes with 138 students.
Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Volunteering at the Cerebral Palsy Center in Norman, Oklahoma I worked with some amazing clients who changed my life and I knew working with students with special needs was my calling. Every student has their unique abilities and way of showing them. This philosophy has always been my motto as an educator.
After growing up in Houston, Texas I attended the University of Oklahoma for my Bachelor's degree. I taught a few years in Oklahoma before moving back home where I received my Master's of Special Education and Educational Diagnostician certification from the University of Houston. After working in education for 21 years in Texas I moved to the beautiful state of Colorado. I started my Douglas County School District career teaching SSN at ThunderRidge High School before moving into a Special Education Coordinator position. My leadership of the Bridge Program began while I was a coordinator and as the program grew, I moved into the Principal position. I love watching the students grow and mature during their years at Bridge.
While not at school I enjoy hiking, working out, camping, and spending time with family.
